Plug into nature! Plug into farming! Plug into fun! Spend some time outdoors this Saturday, July 15th to celebrate Unplug Illinois Day! State Representative Charlie Meier, who declared July 15 Unplug Illinois Day, is here to remind you to go visit your local Park Districts to engage in a fun outdoor activity!

State Senator Laura Fine (D – Glenview) is a proud sponsor of Unplug Illinois. She wants to help create a difference and encourage others to make it a habit to spend time outdoors. Unplug Illinois brings awareness of the opportunity to put down your electronics, get out in nature, make memories and appreciate the beauty around you.

Executive Director of Illinois Park and Recreation Association Barbara Arango is a big believer in park and recreation agencies across the state promoting activities and opportunities for people to get outside. Unplug from your electronics and plug into nature, creativity, and fun.
